The Peltor SportTac contains many special features, including an audio input for connecting to an external radio, and a level dependent function that amplifies weak sounds and attenuates loud ones. The external communication and level dependent functions are independent of each other, which ensures reliability and better safety. Tested and approved according to the PPE directive 89/686/EEC and EMC directive 89/336/EEC, these protective headphones comply with CE labelling. These protective headphones include two AA batteries and once powered can be used continuously for up to 600 hours. Continuous use is defined as 20% use in silent noise 45-50dB, 60% use in medium noise 70-75dB and 20% use in high noise 95-100dB.
