PRACTICAL SHOOTING CLUB

Formed in early 2017 for a group of keen experienced shooters, Pro Shoot Practical Shooting Club is a modern friendly, progressive club that seeks to promote the sport of Practical Shooting in a friendly, relaxed and safe environment.

We are affiliated to the UKPSA (Affiliation number 333) and also Home Office Approved. We have club members from all over the country, and amongst our members we have around six that shoot internationally and at least three that has represented Britain in the world shoots.

Our targets are mainly knock-down steel plates with occasional activated clays, most stages are designed to be shot with Birdshot ammunition. We also use Buckshot and Slug as and when stages are designed for this.Prospective members are invited to come along to one of our club shoot days and have a go under the strict supervision of our fully qualified Range Officers.

If you decide that you would like to become a member, you would be expected to complete a UKPSA sanctioned safety course run in house by our own fully qualified instructors before becoming a full member. See training courses for more information on the courses we run

What is IPSC?

IPSC recognises all the shooting disciplines – Handgun, Rifle, Shotgun, and Action Air.IPSC shooters need to blend accuracy, power, and speed into a winning combination. Multiple targets, moving targets, targets that react when hit, penalty targets, or even partially covered targets, obstacles, movement, competitive strategies, and other techniques are all a part of IPSC to keep shooters challenged and spectators engaged.

IPSC Motto
The Latin words Diligentia, Vis, Celeritas (DVC) meaning accuracy, power, and speed are IPSC’s motto and form the foundation for competition. IPSC also emphasises procedures for safe gun handling and strict adherence to the rules governing the sport. The United Kingdom Practical Shooting Association (UKPSA) is affiliated to the IPSC and was founded in 1977 to represent IPSC shooting in the region/country.
